Water and 3D
It’s hard to believe that this image for Pulse was done entirely on the computer. It really looks like a photo! The water seems so realistic! The “Water and 3D” project presented interesting technical and artistic challenges. Because, not only did we have to represent water, which in itself is a challenge, but we also had to do it in close-up.
The technique
It is with great certainty that we say this to you: water is one of the most difficult things to represent in 3D. Indeed, water evades many. Besides, it is often by looking at water that we realize that a photo is in fact a digital image. At Kub, we go to great lengths to represent water as realistically as possible. Our team keeps abreast of the latest technologies to better simulate water so that the line between digital and reality is as fine as possible. In the case of “Water and 3D” we can say that the representation of water has been a success!
