Virtual Reality

In 2014, we began exploring this type of technology after attending the famous SIGGRAPH conference. Following his visit, Samuel, our head of technology, came back with very interesting information and an extensive list of contacts.

The conclusion we reached was crystal clear: this was the technology of the future. What’s more, we realized that we also had a market advantage. At Kub Studio, we believe in breakthrough technologies! Ever since, our research and development team has continuously explored, read up on and attended trade fairs closely related to this technology. 

The project

What better way to tangibly explain this state-of-the-art technology to our customers and potential customers than by creating our own virtual reality demo. Simon and Samuel therefore pooled their talents to design and produce our first ever virtual reality demo: a condominium apartment located in an industrial-style building. A streamlined look with varied styles: turn-of-the-century, industrial, contemporary and modern. A 3-room apartment with a large dining room, living room and bathroom and then, because it’s something you can easily do with 3D technology, we enjoyed the luxury of adding an elevator (why the heck not, when you have the chance to invent it!).

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere, this ambiance that we’ve designed. If you have access to VR headset glasses (oculus or a similar type), they will further enhance the experience. A soft, hushed soundtrack heightens the immersive sensations because the soundtrack we’ve integrated is reminiscent of the noise and bustle of the city: car horns, traffic, emergency vehicles and so forth.
